Redmond, Utah - Eva Alene Rasmussen Fugal was born to Clarence Arthur and Alice J. Henricksen Rasmussen on 14 March 1929 in Provo, Utah and died 12 January 2011 at her home in Redmond, Utah. Bruce S. Fugal claimed her as his eternal companion on 3 January 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Nine children were born into this family: Naomi (Chad) Penrod, Chris (Carol) Fugal, Sherri (Mike) Shepherd, Anthony B. (Mary) Fugal, Tamera Trester, Kelly L. A (Karen) Fugal, Jesse M. Fugal, Merilee (Stanley) Palmer, Melanee (Duane) Lehmberg. She is survived by her nine children; 37 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Jean Jex. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Fugal; four brothers and three sisters: Max Alfred Rasmussen, Donna Rasmussen, Clarence Wesley Rasmussen, Ida Mae Christiansen, Eldon Earl Rasmussen, Thoral Leon Rasmussen and Mary Alice Nielsen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Redmond 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 310 West 100 North in Redmond, where friends may call for viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery in American Fork, Utah, next to her eternal companion, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
