Boyd Wayne Hampton
January 24, 1948 — March 15, 2024
Aurora, Utah – Boyd Wayne “Jaws” Hampton, age 76, of Aurora, passed away March 15, 2024, at his home in Aurora. He was born January 24, 1948, in Salina, a son of Thurlan E. and Elna Sarah Gates Hampton.
He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Rancho High School, Class of 1966. He married Kathleen Marie Goddard June 22, 1968, in the St. George LDS Temple.
He is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many different callings.
He enjoyed camping, mechanics, and working on things from cars to the house. He loved to be with his family. He loved to tease the grandkids, nieces and nephews. He loved driving truck and seeing the country. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Richfield Dialysis Team and Gunnison Valley Hospice, Doctors, and Nurses for all their help and care with our beloved husband and father. Also, thanks to the Aurora 2nd Ward Relief Society Sisters for all their time and help.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife of Aurora; children: Gary Hampton of Salt Lake City; Brian Hampton of Venice; Larry and Brooke Hampton of Cedar City; Marjorie Hampton of Aurora; Marcee Hampton of Las Vegas, Nevada; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his mother, Elna Hampton of Salina; siblings: Gail Hampton of Las Vegas; Judy Valk of Salina and sister-in-law, Shawni Washington of Lindon, Washington.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thurlan Hampton; siblings: Lloyd Hampton and Robin Warren; and his parents-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. in the Aurora 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:30 to 12:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
