Venice, Utah - Carol Davis Allred, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend had been anxiously waiting for the day she could be reunited with the love of her life and husband Jim. On June 20, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones, she was able to have that reunion.
Carol is survived by her children; James (Michelle) Allred, Tracy (Melody) Allred, Torey (Tim) Brown, Randy (Candice) Allred, Roger (Janet) Allred, Kelly (Valarie) Allred. Along with 43 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: James Allred (husband), Leora Davis (mother), Sterling Davis (father), Joy Binder (sister), Connie Nelson (sister), Holland Duncan (great-granddaughter).
Carol was born on February 7, 1945 to Sterling and Leora Davis in Lake Shore, Utah. Carol met the love of her life and they married not long after on October 10, 1962. They created a beautiful life together where the farm and animal life was the staple of their day to day. While Jim was busy sheering sheep and cracking open a beer, you would find Carol watching her soap operas that Jim made sure he recorded for her each day; all while playing a game of solitaire at the same time. Up until the day Carol left this earth she faithfully watched her soap operas. Contrary to any medical care needed, she politely excused medical personnel from her bedside until she finished watching the episode she was watching.
Before retirement you could find Carol at the bowling alley every Monday night for leagues. She was an avid bowler and loved the sport. Christmas was never a small event at the Allred household. Carol would shop all year long and make it an entire festivity on Christmas morning. There was never a lack of feeling loved and celebrated on that morning.
Carol was the most supportive mother and grandmother. She attended every child(s)/grandchild(s) sporting events and was always front row and wearing their jersey. Even as her children/grandchildren reached adulthood and played adult league sports she faithfully attended and supported them. At one point she even had to join a game of Co-ed softball as they were short a female player. Her dedication and loyalty to her family had absolutely no boundaries.
Being a grandma was definitely her calling in life. Her grandkids meant everything to her, and she meant everything to them. She always had a big hug and special treat for them when they’d visit. She spent her spare time in between soaps and commercials quilting. All of her children/grandchildren have been blessed with one of her handmade quilts.
