Oak City, Utah - Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, Debra Janice Bayles Lebbon, age 55, died February 7, 2009 at her home in Oak City after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born September 24, 1953 in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of Platte Durham and Alice Marilyn Wilkinson Bayles. Starting from a shy little girl who was scared of everything and everybody, who never spoke a word in school until the eighth grade, she blossomed into a loving, compassionate mother and friend who loved, served and cared for everyone around her. She enjoyed all the people she worked with and would do anything for them. Debbie was a very talented person and could do anything she set her mind to. She loved to cook, sew, do crafts, wood work and quilt. Debbie was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, Young Women’s Presidency and Relief Society Presidency. She loved going to the Temple, something she did as often as she could. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, sitting by a campfire and even just driving up in the mountains to see the leaves changing in the fall. She graduated from the Cosmetology School in Delta and enjoyed doing hair. She is survived by her children: Walt and Becca Wright of Cedar City; Lyman and Jamie Wright, Ricky Wright, all of Flagstaff, AZ; Eva Wright of Springville; Elder Justin Wade Lebbon, currently serving in the Philippines Olongapo LDS Mission; 12 grandchildren; parents, Platte and Marilyn Bayles of Toquerville; brothers and sisters: Steve and Sandi Bayles of Hotchkiss, CO; April and Ron Ruesch of Apple Valley; Gordon (Debbie, deceased) Bayles of Cedar City; Carrie and Dave Pehrson of Delta; Tina and Mike Pech of Salt Lake City; Mary Holt of Cedar City; Brett and Deanna Bayles of Sterling, TX. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gayle Bayles. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 12 Noon in the Oak City 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 35 East Center Street in Oak City, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Oak City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
