Fremont, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Garold K. Horrocks, age 71, died March 10, 2014 in Riverton, Utah, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and debilitating illness. He was born February 7, 1943 in Bluffdale, Utah, a son of Robert and Hellace Eastella Swain Horrocks. He graduated from Bingham High School and served his country in the US Navy. Garold married Marjorie Pullman, July 18, 1964 in Elko, Nevada. They had one son, Danny. They were later divorced. He married Mary Dorene Atwood, December 26, 1966 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, April 21, 1979. To this union came three children, Cozann, Nickole and Joseph. The Horrocks moved to Wayne County in 1978 and farmed Tidwell. Garold enjoyed riding horses, dairy farming and raising beef cattle. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Dorene of Fremont; children: Dan and Heidi Horrocks of Phoenix, Arizona; Cozann and Joey Johnson of Murray; Nickole Horrocks of Fremont; Joseph and Crystal Horrocks of Minnesota; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: Conna and Cleston Torrey of Atlanta, Georgia; Shirley Ostler of Midvale; Robert and Patsy Horrocks of Centerfield. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Sherrie Mcdonald and JoAnn Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Fremont LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Fremont Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
