Elsinore, Utah - Grant Lynn Huntsman of Elsinore passed away due to a brain aneurysm on March 24, 2024 in St George, Utah, surrounded by his loved ones.
Lynn was born on June 22, 1956, in American Fork, Utah to Dale and Karma Huntsman. He was the youngest of four siblings. He grew up in North Las Vegas where he attended Rancho High School and participated in baseball and soccer. When Lynn was 14 years old, he met the love of his life, Beverly Loveland. They were married in the St. George temple on September 10, 1977, 6 weeks after he returned from his mission. He was a gifted athlete and enjoyed playing softball as a short stop and was the MVP for a regional tournament in Las Vegas.
Lynn served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Canada Toronto mission under M. Russell Ballard. He served in many positions in the church including bishop, high councilman, young men’s president, and high priest instructor, but most recently he loved being a primary teacher and nursery leader. He loved the Savior and reading the Book of Mormon.
Lynn grew up working for his dad in the construction industry and later they co-owned Nevada Lath and Plaster, where they worked side by side, along with his sister, Carolyn as the office manager. After leaving the construction industry he became a custodian for the Clark County School District for 15 years until he retired.
Lynn loved spending time with his family, working in the yard and garden, going on Ranger rides, but he loved spending time with his sweetheart Beverly most of all. He was known for his good hugs and his unconditional love for everyone. He made friends everywhere he went and made everyone feel like they were his favorite.
Lynn is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beverly Loveland Huntsman of Elsinore, his seven children; Ariane (Dion) Gardner of Richfield, Emily Loftus of Elsinore, Brooklynn (Katy) Huntsman of Herriman, Kinsey (Alex) Gonzales of Las Vegas, Chanae (Nicholas) Fischer of Las Vegas, Oliver Huntsman of Las Vegas, and Theodore (Aubrie) Huntsman of Las Vegas. He is survived by his 19 grandchildren and his sister, Connie (Milo) Medley of Marysvale.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Dan Huntsman, sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Kerry LeBaron, son-in-law Corey Loftus, and grandson Aiden Gonzales.
