Harold Alexander Boyter

Richfield, Utah - Harold Alexander Boyter, age 86, passed away at his home in Richfield on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Harold was born on April 16, 1933 to Carlisle and Julia LeFevre Boyter in Panguitch, Utah. He graduated from Panguitch High School with the class of 1951. He traveled to Richfield in search of employment and found a job at Christensen Machine and Supply as a welder. It was there that he met Reta Jean Christensen. They were married on September 2, 1952 in the Manti LDS temple. Together they raised 4 sons and 1 daughter. Harold was a hard worker. He started a welding business in 1955 with his brother George where he worked for most of his life. From 1959 through 1987 he also operated a Harley-Davidson dealership. Harold loved to collect vises, and enjoyed yard work. He especially loved spending time teaching his sons how to work with him. He could fix anything except the crack of dawn. Harold is survived by his wife, Reta Jean Boyter; his sons: Boyd Boyter, Chris (Karen) Boyter, Karl (Ronda) Boyter, and Brice Boyter, all of Richfield; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; a daughter: Tasha Boyter; a great-grandaughter: Lauren Haaga; brothers: Milton Boyter, George Boyter, and Clinton Boyter; sisters: Julia Steel, Neucile Henrie, and Belle Smith. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Richfield 7th Ward LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield or Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the ward chapel prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield and Salina.
