James Riley Stephenson, Jr.

James R. Stephenson Jr. St. George, Utah - James Riley Stephenson, Jr. age 48, died July 3, 2004 at his home in St. George. He was born March 21, 1956 in Salt Lake City, a son of James Riley and Lewellyn Ellett Brown Stephenson. He served his country in the United States Army in Germany. He is survived by his wife, LaDawn B. Stephenson of St. George; children: Brandon and Tiffany Phelps of West Valley City; Laura Stephenson of St. George; 2 grandchildren; his mother, Lew Stephenson of Bicknell; two sisters: Janeen and Robert Matheny of Kingman, AZ; Joni and Herb Schoepf of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by his father, James “Jim” Riley Stephenson, July 29, 2003. Grave side services will be held Friday, July 9, 2004 at 12 Noon in the Bicknell Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel in Bicknell, Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
