Monroe, Utah - Our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, neighbor, and friend Jerry Irwin Mangum Jr. age 51, passed away unexpectedly September 8, 2018 at his home in Monroe . Jerry was born on December 24, 1966 in Panguitch, Utah. A son of Jerry Irwin and Theora Elmer Mangum. He attended Gunnison High School and graduated with the Class of 1989. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jerry had a cheerful spirit. He was nearly always happy. He liked to have fun whether that meant fishing, bowling, or participating in the Special Olympics. He loved trucks and he liked to collect matchbox cars and model cars. He was a people person who got along well with everyone he met. He really enjoyed good naturedly teasing his friends, especially if they were female! He was a source of fun and joy for family friends alike. He is survived by his parents Jerry and Theora Mangum of Monroe; his sister Tina Pedersen of Richfield; his two brothers: Barry Gene and Jamaica Mangum of Richfield; Mark Mangum of St. George; his nephews: Timothy and Melonie Mangum of Brentwood, California; Chad Hancey of Richfield; J'Coby Mangum of Richfield; his niece KaytLyn Mangum of Richfield. Jerry was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Ila Fowler; Ralph Mangum; Ira and Julia Elmer. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2018 in the Monroe City Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
