Richfield, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Jesse Vernal Christensen, age 53, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, January 1, 2010 in Richfield, Utah of a massive heart attack. He was born April 29, 1956 in Gunnison, Utah, a son of Vernal Jesse and Dorthy Arlene Christiansen Christensen. He graduated from Gunnison Valley High School, Class of 1974. He attended college in Provo and at Snow South in Richfield. Jesse married Rosalie Inez Jensen, May 6, 1978 in Lyman, Utah. He was a member of the LDS Church. Jesse enjoyed scroll sawing, RC Aircrafts, fishing, mechanical work, handiwork, four wheeling, and spending a lot of time with his family, his grandkids and friends. That was his #1 choice!!! He is survived by his wife of Richfield; three daughters: Misty and Tony Anderson, Christina Christensen, Brandy and Ty Barker, all of Richfield; 5 grandchildren; his mother, Arlene Christensen of Centerfield; one brother and one sister: Glen Christensen and Marie Miller, both of Centerfield; his mother-in-law: Inez Jensen of Lyman. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernal Jesse Christensen; his father-in-law: Joseph Ray Jensen; and a grandson, Patrick Vernal Anderson. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 1:00P.M. in the Centerfield 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Centerfield Wednesday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Centerfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
