Salina, Utah - Our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Judy Renae Cloward Christensen, age 65, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at her home in Salina, after a valiant and brave battle with cancer. She was born September 6, 1950 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Wayne C. and Bessie Ivie Colby Cloward. She graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1968. She attended Southern Utah State College in Cedar City where she got her Bachelor's Degree and Utah State where she received her Master's Degree. She married Lee Leonard Christensen, September 12, 1970 in the Manti LDS Temple. Judy was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Homemaking Leader, Primary Teacher, Young Women Leader, Visiting Teacher, Librarian, Sunday School Teacher, Relief Society Presidency, along with countless hours serving others. She was a member of the Jaycettes, Chamber of Commerce and volunteered at Miss Mary's Historical Museum. Judy enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, shopping, candy making, collecting recipes, crocheting, supporting her grandkids in several activities, writing school and family histories, and spending time with her four daughters. She was a schoolteacher at North Sevier Middle School and has enjoyed the staff and teaching her students over the past 27 years. Judy is survived by her husband, Lee, of Salina; children: Kami Christensen of Aurora; Penny and Travis Honeycutt, Bree and Jeff Nielsen, all of Redmond; Brandi and Todd Davies of Salina, 11 grandchildren; sisters: Janiel Perry of Holiday; Gae Vassau and Darlene Sanchez, both of Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents: Wayne C. and Bessie Colby Cloward; her parents-in-law: Leonard and Carol Dean Christensen; and a brother-in-law: F. Dean Christensen. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salina LDS Stake Center, where friends may call for viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
