Redmond, Utah – Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Mary Lee Adams Jensen, age 69, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home in Redmond, with her beloved husband at her side. She was born October 5, 1950 in Salina, the second of three girls born to Dean Lorel and Colleen Joy Simper Adams from Loa. She grew up in Loa and graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1968. She played the flute in high school and also played in a State Band. Mary Lee stilled played the flute up until 3 years ago. She got her Associate Degree from Snow College and then went to USU in Logan where she got her Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics Education. She married the love of her life, Douglas Brent Jensen June 25, 1971 in the Manti LDS Temple. Mary Lee taught Home Ec for the Sevier School District for 9 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Primary Teacher, Relief Society President and Manti Temple Worker. She and her husband served an LDS Mission to the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Mission. She was a member of the DUP Camp Christine of Redmond. She loved to knit and made many Christmas Stockings and dish cloths. She also sewed a lot and tied quilts. Mary Lee served for 19 years as an EMT on the Salina Ambulance. She was an EMT Instructor, and served as an assistant State EMT Course Co-ordinator and on the State of Utah EMT Test Team. Mary Lee is survived by her husband, Brent Jensen of Redmond; her children: Martin and Kristen Jensen of Las Vegas, Nevada; Sarah Joy Jensen and Traves Clark of Roy; Patrick and Jesica Jensen, Brady and Rebecca Jensen, all of Eagle Mountain; 10 grandchildren; sisters: Gloria Swaim of West Jordan, Cathy and Robert Boyter of Redmond. She is preceded in death by her father, Dean L. Adams; her mother, Joy Adams Burgess; her step-father, Roe G. Burgess; her parents-in-law: Douglas and Norma Jensen; and a brother-in-law: Victor Swaim. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 12 Noon in the Redmond 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
