Melvin Lee Anderson

Lee Anderson Salina, Utah - Melvin Lee Anderson, age 61, of Salina, was called home to his Father in Heaven on September 26, 2003, after an extended illness and a heroic fight for life. He was born October 8, 1942 in Salina, Utah, a son of Jay and Leah Nielsen Anderson. He married Virginia (Ginger) Guiver. They were later divorced. He married Sunny Austad, March 18, 1977. Lee loved life. He loved animals, especially his dog Murphy. He loved people and was a marvelous conversationalist. Lee had a remarkable sense of humor, he made people laugh and feel good. He enjoyed travel with his wife. Lee will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife and parents, all of Salina; a son, Rick (April) Anderson, Lake Elsinor, CA; brother, Bill (Ana) Anderson; sisters: Rita (Dave) Young; Peggy (Doug) Burt; three wonderful grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his in-laws: Grover and Maxine Austad and a brother-in-law, Ron (Joann) Austad. He was preceded in death by a son, Peter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at 12 Noon in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street, Salina, Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery.
