Myrna Brown Larsen

April 28, 1937 — February 22, 2003

Myrna Brown Larsen “Nurturer” Bicknell, Utah - Our beloved wife, mother, Grandma Myrna, Aunt Myrna, sister and friend, Myrna Brown Larsen, age 65, of Bicknell, left us to be with our Father in Heaven and family members on February 22, 2003. Mom was born April 28, 1937 in Loa, Utah, a daughter of Charles LaVor and May Taylor Brown. She married John Richard Larsen in the Manti LDS Temple on November 23, 1955. She was active in the LDS Church and served in numerous positions, served in the DUP in different offices, a long-term member of the Bicknell Literary Club, the Odd Tuesday reading club, the birthday club and she was a lifetime supporter of high school athletics. She always had a house full of friends and family that were sent away with food, drink and friendship. Myrna was beloved by all of the young people, and served as the school lunch cook. She could sing, act, paint and was a master storyteller. She encouraged her grandkids to participate in the Junior Livestock program with the animals. She had a full time job taking care of the animals, keeping the sheep out of her flowers and the “manure” out of her house. She had the unconditional love that held us together as a family and extended family. Myrna is survived by her husband and friend of 47 adventurous years; two daughters: JoAnn Larsen, Jamestown, CA; Janet (Troy) Morgan, Monroe; one son: Greg Richard (Brooke) Larsen, Bicknell; grandchildren: Jared, Jake and Jenny Jones, Kennedy and Spencer Larsen, Matthew and Hannah Morgan; brother: Arlen (Lorna) Brown, Loa; sisters: Owona (Wade) Grundy, Loa; Lois Brown, Central Valley; sisters-in-law: Nadine Brown Taylor, Loa; Phyllis Larsen Heaton, Washington, UT; brothers-in-law: Lowell (Gatha) Larsen, Rock Springs, WY; Homer Larsen, Salt Lake City and Royce Allen, Bennion. She had many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Earl Brown and Dale Brown, and one sister, Erma Allen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. in the Loa LDS Stake Center, located at 20 South 100 West in Loa.
