Gunnison, Utah – Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Nola Rae Olson Pickett, was born in Millville, Utah to Newel Charles and Florence Christina Anderson Olson on February 20, 1930, She died peacefully on the evening of November 14, 2019 in Cedar City, Utah. Nola married Newell Albert Pickett November 3, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married for 63 years and had five children. Newell preceded her in death on April 6, 2013. She and Newell served missions in Lima, Peru; Puerto Rico; and Long Beach California. Her life mission was devoted to raising her family, and serving in the church. For such a noble life of service to family, faith, and community, it was sad to see her mind gently erased of the events, names, and relationships. Her legacy is shown forth in the lives of her children and posterity. Nola is survived by her children: Randy and Jacque Pickett of Fayette, UT; Rebecca Pickett (deceased); Claude and LuEnna Pickett of Ephraim, UT; Terry and Kari Pickett of Cedar City, UT; Mitzi and Brian Chadsey of McAlester, OK; 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
