Bicknell, Utah - Our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Remola Jones Woolsey, age 85, died January 4, 2014 at her home in Bicknell. She was born January 5, 1928 in Torrey, Utah, a daughter of Isaac and Rebecca May Allen Jones. She graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1946. She married Dewey Heaps Woolsey, July 5, 1946 in Panguitch, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Remola was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries. She donated hours and hours of time to help in the beautification of Bicknell Town. She received the Salt Lake Tribune Civic Beautification Award for 13 years. She had beautiful flower and vegetable gardens in both Bicknell and Torrey. Needless to say, she enjoyed gardening. Remola also loved to sew, piece quilts together and enjoyed doing puzzles. She like to go to the horse races with Dewey. She enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids play sports. She was an avid Jazz fan. GO JAZZ!!! Remola is survived by her loving husband, Dewey Woolsey of Bicknell; children: Jerry (deceased) and Kathy Woolsey of Bicknell; Kathleen (Jeff, deceased) Wilson of Sandy; Alcea and Verl Bagley of Greenwich; Annette Woolsey and Donald Woolsey, both of Bicknell; Joan Woolsey of Payson; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Audrey (Glen, deceased) DeLeeuw of Lyman; Colleen (Otis, deceased) Shelley of Bicknell; Allen and LaWana Jones of Teasdale; Iris and Kyle Brinkerhoff of Billings, Montana; Lydia Torgerson, Gladys (deceased) and Jerald Johnson, all of Richfield; Carrie and Charles Erwin Davis of Eureka, California; Maretta Smith of San Diego, California; Verna and Ralph Rollins of Roy; Rula (Frank, deceased) Goniatakis of Alaska; Stanley and Glenda Jones of Box Holm, Iowa; Gary and JoEllen Jones of West Jordan. She was preceded in death by twin daughters: Mary and Marie Woolsey; a grandson, Bryce Thompson; brother and sister: Geneve Osberg and Newell Jones. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 at 1:00P.M. in the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel in Bicknell, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 9:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
