Ephraim, Utah - Our kind and beloved father, grandfather, nephew, cousin, neighbor and friend Robert “Tim” Lindsay returned home to our Heavenly Father on April 14, 2015. Tim was born on a cold day November 18, 1947 in the Gunnison Hospital to a pretty young mother Elaine Ann Christensen. He was a cute baby with lots of hair. As he grew he was always smiling and a happy child. When he was a young child a fall off a tractor made his learning difficult. Because of his brain injury his book learning was limited. Tim was educated on the farm. He was raised by his Grandparents Leo L. and Louise Jensen Christensen on their farm north of Axtell, Utah. Timmy was a great help to his Grandpa, helping with all the chores required on the farm such as bailing hay, feeding cattle, roundup time, etc. Riding horses was one of his favorite pastimes, and continued throughout his life. As he grew old he moved around Utah frequently. About two years ago he moved back to Ephraim living with his ex-wife Melody, and getting re-acquainted with his daughter Sheryl and his grandchildren, who brought him great happiness in the final days of his battle with cancer. Tim loved to fish. He liked watching westerns, going for long car rides, or long walks. He enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to go hiking and camping. He loved to spend time with his family, or his best friend and dog Curly, but his greatest joy was playing with his grandkids. Tim was survived by his daughter Sheryl and Robert Simmons of Ephraim; his ex-wife and good friend Melody Christensen of Ephraim; his grandchildren: Kiera Lyn Simmons; Hunter Scott Simmons, both of Ephraim; his Aunts: Beth Wilson of Gunnison; Joy Merriam of Manti; Chiyo Christensen of Centerfield; his dog Curly; many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, both of his grandparents, many loving aunts, uncles, and family members. Goodbye Robert Tim Lindsay, may your journey be easier in heaven than it was here on earth. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Ephraim 2nd Ward LDS Ward Chapel, 450 North 200 West Ephraim, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the ward chapel from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. prior to services. Burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery, Mayfield, Utah under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, and Salina. The family wishes to give special thanks to Tim's Aunt Chiyo and Cousin Joan for the time they spent caring for Tim.
