Loa, Utah - After sustaining injuries in an automobile accident, Stanley Dolan Brian age 77 was called back to his home in heaven on August 17, 2018, called back to greener pastures, and fences made of gold. Where sheep and cattle roam the land, and never do grow old. Where the grass is tall, and water flows, and horses never tire, Where the ranch house waits with dinner warm, near a welcome fire. Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend was born on September 3, 1940 to Reed Bastian Brian and Marjorie White. He was born in Loa, Utah where he was raised in the mountains and valleys round about with the sheep and cattle. He was the fourth of eleven children, six sisters and four brothers. Two, of which, have preceded him in death. Stanley was married and sealed to Lois Chappell on May 17, 1963 in the Temple in Manti Utah. As a husband Stanley was always so attentive to his sweetheart. He always made sure that she was taken care of first and was insistent that his children treated their Mom with love and respect. Of all the things in life that man can obtain, the greatest of all, is love for our fellow men. Stanley knew that and showed love to everyone. He was always and forever willing to give total strangers the coat off his back if that is what they needed. Stanley’s testimony of his savior was simple and powerful and showed in the way he lived his life. He knew that the atonement was real and taught his children and grandchildren, by example, the importance of living the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the later years of Stanley’s life he was dealt many trials, all of which he took with both feet in the stirrups and never left the saddle. Even in the end he managed to hang on until his family gathered round him to encourage him to take the reins and ride on into eternity. He is survived by his wife, Lois Chappell Brian of Loa; children: Roger (Cathy) Brian; Bart (Mindi) Brian, Shannon (Michelle) Brian, all of Loa; Paula (Tyce) Palmer, Ashlee (Mitchell) Miller, all of Panguitch, Megan (Dustin) Coleman of Wellsville; 34 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way; brothers and sisters: Julia Sorensen of Axtel; Emily Lee of Boulder City, Nevada; Beverly Brian, Robert and Edra Brian, Harry and Dawna Rae Brian, all of Loa; Pamela and Russell Peterson, Sheila and Sherrill Torgerson, all of Lyman; Michelle and Dale Coates of Aurora; Debbie and Bobbie Edwards of Loa. He is preceded in death by his Parents: Reed Bastian Brian and Marjorie White; brothers: Reed Brian Jr. and H. Dudley Brian; brothers-in-law: Elwood Sorenson and David Lee.
