Bicknell, Utah - Our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, VeeOla Duncan Taylor Snedeger, age 76, of Bicknell, died April 15, 2007 in Richfield, after a valiant battle with various dibilitating diseases. She was born November 10, 1930 in Bicknell, Utah, a daughter of Amos Chapman and Hulda Albrecht Duncan. She graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1948. She married Oren Ellison Taylor, June 8, 1949 in Fremont, Utah. They made their home and raised their children in Loa. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple September 18, 1975. Oren died January 9, 1991. VeeOla then married Don Q. Snedeger July 25, 1992 in Fremont, Utah. They made their home in Bicknell. VeeOla was active in the LDS Church, serving as the Ward Librarian for many years, working in the Primary and in the Genealogy Program. VeeOla was known as a nurturer. She nurtured not only her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but her nieces, nephews, and their children and many of the kids throughout Wayne County. She loved to watch their sporting activities, their musicals and school plays and she always supported her “kids”. Many called her “Aunt Bewola”. In her younger years, she loved to sing. She and her sister, Edra, sang in many funerals, weddings and programs in Wayne County. She played the piano until her arthritic fingers got too bad. She enjoyed camping, fishing and rock hounding with Don. Her favorite thing, whenever family showed up, everyone could count on a hug and a hot meal. You never left her home hungry. She loved to knit, crochet and quilt. VeeOla will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Don of Bicknell; her children: Vivian Taylor of St. George; Jula Anderson and Ted Holm of Elsinore; Gayle Lee and Gary Jensen of Fairview; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; step-children: Gerald and Gail Snedeger, Golden and Annie Snedeger, all of Torrey; Susan and Walter Jex of Springville; Emily and Blaine Stallings of Fairview; Cynthia and Keith Peterson of St. George; numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lee A.
