Adrianne Daley

March 12, 1922 — January 9, 2011

Sigurd, Utah - Adrianne Hazel Hadd Daley, age 88, of Sigurd, died January 9, 2011 in Centerfield, Utah. She was born March 12, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Massachusetts, a daughter of Emile Leon and Hazel Ruth Dunn Hadd. She married Robert Forrest in Massachusetts and later divorced. She married John Daley in Las Vegas, Nevada. He died January 1994. Adrianne was a beautiful and classy woman, inside and out. In her youth, she was a very active person. She was on the High School basketball team, she loved swimming, hiking, taking walks and being on the golf course on a sunny day. She was a waitress in Las Vegas for many years. Her favorite place to waitress was the Flamingo Hotel Show Room. There she was able to see and meet many famous people, one being Elvis Presley, who gave her a $100.00 tip and back then, that was a big deal. She enjoyed the outdoors, working in her yard, fishing and camping with family and friends, taking a drive in the mountains and quiet walks on the beach. She loved traveling and meeting new people across this beautiful country, from the east coast to the west coast. She lived on the east coast during her early years and then moved to the west coast in her later years. She had her hands in several business adventures through the years, with her husband, John Daley and children. She spent many hours with her grandchildren on the patio by the pond that she and her husband built, telling the moon all their secrets, because the moon always listened and never told anything or anyone. She loved dressing up with the granddaughters and taking them for an evening out on the town to special places, telling stories, singing the old songs and even making up a few versions of her own. Adrianne loved trying new adventures; she even went sky diving in her 60's. She loved traveling with her husband in a 5th wheel travel trailer that they called home, after they sold their home in Vegas. They loaded it up and traveled together for many years, until he passed away in 1994. Then she loaded it up for the last time and parked it in Sigurd to be with her family. Adrianne was a wonderful cook, the family is still wondering how she could make those tuff roasts so tender and taste so yummy. Adrianne has lived in Mayfield and Centerfield at the Care Center for the past 10 years. She grew to love many wonderful nurses and staff members there, telling them all her stories, singing her old songs with them and one of her favorite things to do was playing BINGO, but at the care center, she never did win the BIG BUCKS!!! Adrianne was a very loving and caring person. She always had a reached out hand to help someone less fortunate than herself and inspired many through the years. Adrianne Hazel Hadd Daley lived by the “Golden Rule” and she “Lived Life To The Fullest.” Mom, Aunt, Grandma and Friend, we LOVE YOU and will miss you, until we meet again. She is survived by her son, Len and Deborah Forrest of Parump, Nevada; grandchildren: Debora and Kreig Bertelson, Adrianne Zimmer, all of Richfield; Lisa Muir of Lyman; Chrissie and John Sanders of North Las Vegas, Nevada; Suzanne Nicole Halverson and Randee Christine Garcia, both of Washington State; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
