Alice H. Osborn

Overton, NV; Salina, Utah - Alice Hone Shaw Osborn, age 91, died October 1, 2006 in at her home in Overton, Nevada. She was born August 31, 1915 in Centerfield, Utah, a daughter of Caleb and Katie Anna May Hansen Hone. She married Doye T. Shaw, October 13, 1931 in Richfield, Utah. He died September 5, 1955. She married Dan H. Osborn, July 10, 1957 in Las, Vegas, Nevada. Alice was a wonderful hostess, enjoying entertaining her friends and family She readily accepted all of her family and extended family with open arms. She always kept busy, including her later years, making afghans for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice loved to fish. She and her husband and late brother, Don, enjoyed many fishing trips to the local lakes. Especially in her later years, Alice enjoyed visiting with friends and family, passing the time with her favorite card games. She will be greatly missed! Alice is survived by her husband, Dan Osborn of Overton; children: Bernice and Gene Curtis of Logandale, NV; Clair and Dora Shaw of Alamo, NV; Duane and Beverly Shaw of Las Vegas, NV; Rodger and Monica Shaw of Oroville, CA; 15 grandchildren 46 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, VerLynn Shaw and four brothers, Caleden Hone, Don Hone, Verdon Hone and Nathan Hone. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. in the Salina LDS Stake Center, located at 98 West 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
