Amberly Kay Rogers

March 21, 1984 — October 17, 2004

Manti, Utah - Our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend, Amberly Kay Rogers, age 20, of Manti, died October 17, 2004 in Salt Lake City, as the result of a mountain climbing accident. She was born March 21, 1984 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Warren Russell and Janet Diann Heaton Rogers. She graduated from Manti High School, Class of 2002 and was attending the University of Utah, majoring in Psychology. In high school, Amberly was on the Manti High Drill Team. She enjoyed rock climbing, rappelling, snow boarding, bungee jumping and traveling. She had traveled last summer to Nova Scotia and the eastern coast of the United States down to Florida. She was a member of the LDS Church. Amberly loved her family and doing family things, like camping, fishing, boating and water skiing. She is survived by her parents; a brother, Russell Rogers and a sister, Tricia Rogers, all of Manti; grandmothers, Phyllis L. Heaton of Washington, Utah and Marguerite Rogers of Vancouver, Washington; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the Manti LDS Stake Center, 295 South Main Street in Manti, where friends may call for viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and again Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Graveside services and burial will be Friday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. in the Bicknell Cemetery, Bicknell, Utah under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
