Torrey, Utah - Anna Elaine Omps, age 72, of Torrey, passed away December 14, 2014 in Loa. She was born September 8, 1942 in Hagerstown, Maryland, a daughter of James Ray and Maxine Brown Omps. Anna had received two master Degrees and was an English Teacher. She taught English in various schools across the United States for many years and in South Korea to Korean businessmen for approximately five years. She was a world traveler and had lived in Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, California, Washington DC, Maryland and Utah. She loved living in Torrey and associating with all of her friends there. She was very involved in Civic Duties while living in Torrey. She enjoyed gardening, hiking and reading. Anna is survived by her father: James Ray Omps of Norco, California; her five siblings: Susan and Ken Risse of Norco, California; Dixie Woodhouse of Portland, Oregon; Judi and Todd Griffis of Virginia; James and Rita Omps of Malasia; Michael and Pam Omps of Evans, Colorado; her two specials aunts, Lew Stephenson Cook of Torrey and Beverly Brian of Loa. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Brown Omps. Private family services were held at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield and at her request her remains have been cremated and burial will take place at a later date.
