Anna Fae Hales

Redmond, Utah - Anna Fae Hampton Hales, age 87, passed to the other side of the veil, September 6, 2018, to be reunited with her husband, Willis, for eternity. Anna was born on December 2, 1930 in Marysvale, Utah. A daughter of Charles and Una Dorius Hampton. She graduated from North Sevier High School in the Class of 1949. She married Willis Hales April 20, 1949 in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away January 9, 2017. Anna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Along side Willis, she was a temple worker in the Manti Temple, served in the Family History Center and enjoyed genealogy. She served in various ward and stake callings. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Anna was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her children and her grandchildren deeply. If they were involved in an activity or event she was always there to cheer them on. She loved to garden and grew both beautiful flowers and tasty vegetables. She liked to sew and quilt and also enjoyed square dancing. She liked to cook and if you visited Anna's house she'd make sure you left with a full tummy. Anna is survived by her children: Leslie and Ed Christensen of Richfield; Kerry and Starla Hales of Farmington, New Mexico; Dave and Sharron Hales of Aztec, New Mexico; Wayne Hales of Killeen Texas; Kendall and Brenda Hales of Aurora; Christine and Allan Laws of Redmond; Cindy Hales of Killeen, Texas; her sisters: Della Rae and Neldon Peterson of Sandy; Leila Crane of Salina; 25 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren (with one on the way); 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Ruby Hampton; Luella Kralka; Nelda Behunin; Merle Roberts; Vaunda Colby; and brother Merrill Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the Redmond 2nd Ward Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the ward chapel or from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
