Salina, Utah - With great sadness, we lost our sweet, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Anna Louise Lau Chappell. She passed away November 12, 2016 in Centerfield, Utah. Anna was born May 20, 1931 in Hueneme, California, a daughter of Ernest H. and Merl Robinson Lau. She grew up in Salina, Utah and married her eternal sweetheart, Dale Pratt Chappell July 30, 1949 in Salina. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, January 26, 1995. Dale preceded her in death, October 24, 2014. Anna loved her family dearly and was a wonderful wife and mother, also the BEST grandmother EVER!!! She loved being outdoors in her flower gardens. Anyone who knew Anna, knew that she was a strong minded women that took great care of her loved ones. An active member of the LDS Church, she served as a Temple Worker with her husband in the Manti Temple. Anna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children: Jeffery Wayne and Margaret Chappell of Redmond, Oregon; Stephanie Ann and Brent Steiger of Salina, Utah; Michael K. and Peggy Chappell of Graham, Washington; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Kirk Dale Chappell; a grandson, Dannon Scott Steiger; and siblings: Dwight Ferrin, Dee R. Lau and Alvie Lau. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 12 Noon in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street in Salina, Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
