Anne Sattley Stock

Monroe, Utah - Anne Holt Sattley Stock, age 82, passed away February 22, 2006 in Springdale, Arkansas, after a long, hard battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born August 19, 1923 in St.George, Utah, to Henry Jesse and Lillis Burgess Holt. She was the 6th of 13 children. Anne married Billie Lee Sattley on May 23, 1943 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on February 17, 1973. Anne lost her beloved husband, Billie, on March 20, 1978. She later married a friend and companion, Robert Stock in Henderson, Nevada, who also preceded her in death. Anne has lived off and on in Sevier County all her life. Her parents owned a home up Clear Creek Canyon and they often came to visit from St. George, where Anne was raised. Anne and Billie lived in Monroe when her two youngest children were born and then moved away. She moved back to Monroe in October of 1988 and lived there until 1999 when she moved to Arkansas to be with her daughter. Anne had 7 children; 29 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren and 49 great-great-grandchildren. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission to Indiana in 1978. Anne is survived by her children: Penny and Gary Knight of Hurricane, UT; Joyce and Brook Warford of Fayetteville, AK; Steven Sattley of Las Vegas, NV; Lillis Gentry of Delta, UT; Billie Jesse and Sherena Sattley of Richfield, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands; two daughters, Alice Dawn and Karen Lee and also 8 siblings. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and again Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Grave side services and burial will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. in the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, in memory of Anne Sattley Stock.
