Anthony Dean Maxfield

Grand Junction, Colorado – Our beloved son, baby brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Anthony Dean Maxfield, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020. Anthony was born on March 25, 1991 in Grand Junction, Colorado, the son of Greg and Angie Chrisman. He was the youngest of five kids, and had a fun and active childhood with his brothers and sisters, who have fond memories of growing up with him. Anthony cared about everyone and loved his family and friends to the fullest. His kindness and generosity had no limits. Even when he didn’t have much, he was always willing to help and give. He loved to have fun and had many talents and interests. He was an amazing skateboarder and loved hiking, fishing, and the outdoors. He loved music and particularly enjoyed playing the harmonica. He had an amazing sense of humor and brought much laughter and joy to everyone around him. He had five nieces and six nephews, who adored him. Above all else, the light and love of his life was his son, Tavius Dean. He smiled from ear to ear when they were together or when he spoke about him. Tavius made his heart full. He is deeply loved and will be sorely missed. Anthony is survived by his parents, Greg and Angie Chrisman, brothers: Eric and Timothy Andrews, and his sisters: Jessica Bailey and Jennifer Maxfield, and his son, Tavius Dean Maxfield, all of Grand Junction. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma, Rodger Dean and Eyra Jane Maxfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Hanksville LDS chapel, where friends may call for viewing 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the services. Live streaming of the services will be available on Anthony’s obituary page at springerturner.com and will be posted 15 minutes before the service begins. Due to COVID-19 mandates, all attendees must wear a mask and observe social distancing. Burial will be in the Hanksville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.
