Art J. Robinson Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Art J. Robinson, age 78, died June 2, 2004 at his home in Salina. He was born August 16, 1925 in Annabella, Utah, a son of Joseph Henry and May Hanchet Robinson. He married Norma Lee Peterson, December 2, 1950 in Pioche, Nevada. Art was a member of the LDS Church. He was a member of the Richfield Elks Lodge BPOE 464; the Utah Trucking Association, the Antique Trucking Historical Society and he received several awards for community service and contributions. Art enjoyed collecting and restoring antique trucks, going to truck auctions, traveling, enjoying time at his cabin, spending time with his family and friends, and spending time at his museum, Robinson Trucks for View. Art was the owner and operator of Robinson Transport, Inc since 1946, where he worked up until the time of his death. Art is survived by his wife of Salina; children: Lorraine and Steve Smith, Scott J. and Cindy Robinson, Kim and Darlene Robinson, Lee and Jamie Robinson, all of Salina; Peggy and Gary Harrison of Price; five sisters: Joye and Willard O’berry of Aurora, CO; Renee and Dee Anderson of Rose Park; Pauline and Elmer Fox of Salina; Anna Mae and Freeman Barnes of Lehi; Rea and Burke Barlow of Richfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters: Byron Henry Robinson, Joseph Dan Robinson, Peggy Ann Robinson, Gertrude Robinson; and a grandson, Ryan Lee Robinson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salina LDS Stake Center, located at 98 West 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
