Barbara C. Sharp

December 29, 1930 — April 3, 2015

Richfield, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Barbara Case Sharp, age 84, passed away April 3, 2015 in Lockney, Texas. She was born December 29, 1930 in Annabella, Utah, a daughter of Marion Arnold and Louisa Barney Case. She married Loyd Alan Sharp, April 12, 1948 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died February 21, 1999. Barbara was a very active member of the LDS Church, serving as music chorister for over 40 years. She also served in the Relief Society Presidency, as a Primary Worker and in other various callings. She was a regular Temple attendee. Loyd and Barbara sang at many events in the Sevier Valley over the years. She was an avid bowler, attending the state and national championships. She also like to travel, especially with her brother and sisters. She loved life and loved to laugh. She will be greatly missed. Barbara is survived by her children: Bob Alan Sharp of Annabella; Ronald Lynn and Janice Sharp of Floydada, Texas; Kelly Loyd and Jean Sharp of Elsinore; Stephen Lorey and DeLoa Sharp of Bountiful; Roxane Abney of Farmington, New Mexico; daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Sharp of Vernal; 47 grandchildren; over 200 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters: Allen and Evlyn Case, Peggy and Doug White, all of Richfield; Bonnie and Duane Christensen of Spring City. She was preceded in death by two sons: David Sharp and William (Charmaine) Sharp; a daughter, Linda Sharp; two grandchildren: Lisa Dawn Sharp and Tyler Lynn Sharp; her husband, Loyd Sharp; her parents; and five sisters: Maurine Gukeisen; Elva Abney; Jean Hanson; Lenna Case and Luella Allred. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Richfield East LDS Stake Center, 805 North 500 East in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the Stake Center Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
