Barde Howard Beckstead

Redmond, Utah - Barde Howard Beckstead, age 77, of Redmond, died November 24, 2014 in Draper, Utah. He was born February 16, 1937 in Bluffdale, Utah, a son of Issac Harold and Sarah Edna Turner Beckstead. He graduated from Murray High School, Class of 1955. He married Karen Marie Anderson, May 20, 1994 in Kearns, Utah. Howard was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a Temple Ordinance Worker and various other church assignments. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling around, visiting the surrounding towns and country side. Howard is survived by his wife, Karen, of Redmond; a sister, Rea B. Boatright of Mesquite, Nevada; and a brother, Charles Kent Beckstead of St. George. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and three brothers: June B. Dansie; Cleo Jean Vanderpool; Luanne B. Sharp; Harold Turner Beckstead; Alyn Dee Beckstead and Robert William Beckstead. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Redmond 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
