Bennie H. Lee

April 4, 1944 — March 2, 2010

Bennie Herman Lee, age 65, of Richfield, died March 2, 2010 in Provo, Utah of complications from a stroke. He was born April 4, 1944 in Ganado, Arizona, a son of Jim and Rose Ann Charlie Lee. He graduated from Wingate High School, Class of 1963 and attended auto mechanic school in Los Angeles, California for two years. He married Helen Begay, April 23, 1990 in Richfield, Utah. Bennie enjoyed playing cards, collecting coins, watching football on TV; family reunions, traveling and visiting families on the reservation. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Helen of Richfield; children: Nathan and January Lee, Nathaniel Lee, Donathan D. Lee, Byron H. Lee, and Annette Begay, all of Richfield; Farrell and Ella Begay of Kaibeto, Arizona; and Jeanette Begay of Joseph; 17 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sister and brother: Mary A. King, Elmer K. Begay and Wilmer Begay, all of Greasewood, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Lee and a sister, Loretta R. Yazzie. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
