Bert Zirn

Annabella, Utah - Ira Albert “Bert” Zirn, age 77, died September 5, 2006 at his home in Annabella, after a valiant battle with multiple myeloma. He was born April 26, 1929 in Jackson, Michigan, a son of Ira Franklin and Ada Armina Deeter Zirn. Bert served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He married Lola Mae Stump, May 11, 1948 in Seattle, Washington. They were married for 58 years. Bert worked as a manager of a Standard Oil Service Station for many years and then worked for the State of California in their state parks. He loved fishing and enjoyed trains. Bert is survived by his loving wife, Lola, of Annabella; two daughters: Linda and Robert Lewis of Temucula, CA; Lora Mae Myers of Santee, CA; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters. Private family funeral services were held at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Utah. At his request, Bert’s remains have been cremated and burial will take place at a later date.
