Beth A. Gates

Bountiful, Utah - Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Beth Andreasen Gates, age 76, passed away April 6, 2011 in Bountiful, Utah due to an extended illness. She was born in Redmond, Utah, September 5, 1934, a daughter of Mecheal Peter and Ivy Sophia Anderson Andreasen. She married Keith W. Gates, December 22, 1955 in Roswell, New Mexico. Together, they had three children. They were later divorced. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was hardworking and very proud of her family. Beth is survived by her three children: Glen Keith and Lisa Gates of Peterson, Utah; Dixie and David Buck of Woodlands, Texas; Cindy Van Orden of Bountiful; her grandchildren: Jason, Kristy, Candace, Adrian, Brooks, Nikko and Mikal; also 8 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister: Kent and Joy Andreasen, Larry and Rolayne Andreasen, all of Gunnison; Tressie and Morris Lund of Bremmerton, Washington; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sisters: Jack and Madge Andreasen; Ramona Petersen; Karen and Lester Anderson. The family would like to extend a thanks to the special nurses and staff at Lakeview Hospital and Avalon Care Center, for their tender care of our dear Mother. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 150 East Main Street, in Salina, Utah, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
