Beth R Shinsel

July 16, 1947 — June 13, 2021

Axtell - Beth Rugg Shinsel, wife of Pink Shinsel passed away in their Axtell home surrounded by family on June 13, 2021 Beth was a brave, outgoing, courageous and fun-loving person who lived life to the fullest. She was best known for her optimistic attitude and ability to roll with life’s punches. Nearly 30 years ago, the doctor’s gave Beth the news that she had fatal kidney disease and that she would have only 6 months to live. Instead of accepting the death notice, Beth gave notice that not only would she not die, she was going to live and did so prosperously for another 27 years. Beth was quick to laugh with friends and strangers alike. People loved to be around her and enjoyed her gregarious nature. Pink was the love of her life and they spent their 55 years of marriage tied at the hip - they loved each other well and chose to spend as much time as possible in each other’s company. Beth had many friends, but her sister Kay was undeniably her best friend and confidant. As time continues, we will take the treasured moments and memories that we had with Beth and take them with us through this journey we call life. Beth will be forever in our hearts and we will find her in the simple surroundings of our days. She will be missed every day and is a loving soul that will never be forgotten. Beth is survived by her husband Pink, children Cidney and Tracy (Bryan Cromwell), and son in law Pancho Cejudo and her grandchildren Mikal (Jenrris Chavarria), Morgan (Josue Gonzalez), Megan (Ruben Oropeza), Levi, Sonya, Tristan, Brendan, Jasmine, Cole, Gilbert and great grandchildren Hailey and Ezekiel and siblings, Lee, David and Kay. Beth’s death was preceded by her daughter, Reta, siblings Clavon, MaryEllen, and Richard as well as her parents, Alvin and Reta Rugg. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Axtell LDS Ward Chapel at 12:00 Noon, where friends may call for viewing from 9:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Axtell Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
