Koosharem, UT - Our kind and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Betty Myrna Larsen Manwill, age 81, passed away April 16, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Oakley, Utah, after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. She was born September 5, 1932 in Roosevelt, Utah, a daughter of Arthur Christian and Bertha Shelton Larsen. She graduated from Granite High School, Class of 1950. Betty married Don A. Manwill, February 26, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, April 22, 1967. Don passed away January 20, 1999. Betty was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many different auxiliaries. She served as the Director of Transportation for Irvine Unified School District and also served as President of CASTO. She was an avid traveler and loved horses, the outdoors and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Susan and Brad Norcutt of Brea, California; Marilyn Darby of Oakley, Utah; Ron Darby of Billings, Montana; Diane and Terry Warner, Bret and Jill Manwill, Marcus and Jennifer Manwill, all of Riverside, California; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters and one brother: Leona Chorn, Helen Cook Veneri and Alonzo Larsen. Grave side services will be held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Koosharem Cemetery in Koosharem, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, Utah, on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
