Circleville, Utah β Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend, and neighbor, Beverly Ann Bean Cannon, passed away on September 19, 2022.
Beverly, the daughter of Carmon Jay Bean and Ethel May Breedlove, was born March 12, 1929 in Pocatello, Idaho the oldest of six children. Following Beverly in age were Carmen (wife of Clair E. Snow) both deceased, Melvin Bean - deceased (wife Bea Ina), Helen Payne (Husband Kent), Ruth Clegg (husband Darrell) and Linda Woods (Husband Drue - deceased).
Beverly filled a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Texas-Louisiana Mission in 1950-1951. It was here where she met her husband Gerald Whittaker Cannon of Circleville. Gerald and Beverly were married March 12, 1952, in the Salt Lake Temple and celebrated 50 years of marriage together before Jerry passed in November of 2002. In the early years of marriage, the Cannons owned and operated the local grocery store, then later moved into the ranching business running sheep.
Beverly served in various callings of church service including Stake Relief Society board and counselor, Ward Relief Society president, Stake Primary president, and Ward family history consultant.
Beverly enjoyed the people of Circleville and served as mayor for 8 years. In her later years she devoted much of her time to genealogy research, finding the information for hundreds of ancestors.
Beverly would say living in Circleville was easy and she loved itβs surrounding areas.
Beverly is survived by her five children: Susan Cannon (Matthew) Garner, Cheri Cannon (Keith) Allred, Mark Bean (Ricki) Cannon, LeAnn Cannon (Eric) Lofgran, Carol Cannon (Jeffrey) Abbott, 21 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 24 in the Circleville LDS Ward Chapel, 195 West 200 South in Circleville, where friends may call for viewing from 10-11:30 A.M. prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Circleville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
