Beverly B. Mickelson

Gunnison, Utah - Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Beverly Bown Mickelson, age 83, of Gunnison, passed away in Centerfield, Utah on February 4, 2014. She was born October 21, 1930 in Manti, Utah, a daughter of Francis Levi and Sarah Rosetta Reid Bown. She married Derrald Jack Mickelson, January 1, 1953 in Manti, Utah. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2007. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family, doing yard work, baking and crocheting. She took pride in keeping her house clean and staying busy. She also loved spending time in the mountains with her husband. She is survived by her children: Karen and Joe Lamkey, Karma and Todd Haacke, all of Gunnison; Mitch and Fran Mickelson of Salina; Pam and Michael O'Neil of Aurora; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Maurine Bown of Ogden. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a grandson, Brandon O'Berbeck; brothers and sisters: Clair Bown, Basil Bown, Wanda Cook, Cecile Watson and Reva Larson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
