Bill Cavner

Manti, Utah - William Ransom “Bill” Cavner, age 89, of Manti, died June 9, 2006 at his home in Manti. He was born November 26, 1916 in Fowler, Kansas, a son of Tomas Edgar and Lena Florence Scott Cavner. He married Catherine Irene Welding and was later divorced. He married Anona Pulsipher Averett, March 15, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She died September 20, 2000. He married Caroleen Keller Willardson Mackey Febraury 16, 2001 in Manti, Utah. Bill was an active member of the LDS Church. He served as a Seventy and was currently a High Priest. He enjoyed Temple Work and served in many church callings. Bill loved the mountains, fishing and camping. He delighted his family and friends with his harmonica playing. Bill had a wonderful, loving personality. He had a great sense of humor, enjoying laughter and jokes. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren affectionately called him”granddad”, as did many others. He worked as a journeyman electrician, a farmer and a builder. He also worked as the housekeeper in the Manti Temple. He could grow, repair or build most anything and was willing to help anyone who needed it. We miss you. He is survived by his loving wife, Caroleen, of Manti; children: William and Barbara Cavner of Merced, California; Jane and Rex McAllister of St. George; Elaine and Lewis Mullins of Manti; Rodney and Lora Willardson of Centerfield; Roger and Marlise Willardson of Sandy; Lynda and Terrel Edwards of Sterling; Lynn and Sharalee Willardson of Ephraim; David and DeAnn Mackey of Manti; Don and Jennifer Mackey of Ephraim; Dale Mackey of Manti; 38 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 12 Noon in the Manti LDS Stake Center, located at 295 South Main Street in Manti, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 10;00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
