Bill Hancock

Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved father, grandfather, son and brother, William Clyde “Bill” Hancock, age 54, died August 24, 2009 at his home in Salina, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born August 7, 1955 in Spanish Fork, Utah, a son of Ira Lee and Cecilia Gwen Burr Hancock. Bill served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He married Trina Marie Romrell, March 12, 1982 in Highland, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She died March 15, 2009. Bill enjoyed working on race cars and racing stock cars. He truly loved motorcycles. He is survived by his two sons: Dedrick and Mindy Hancock; Cody Hancock; his granddaughter Kaylee Hancock, all of Salina; his mother, Cecilia Uden of Joseph and his father, Ira Lee Hancock of Texas; two brothers and one sister: Kirk Uden of Ogden; Dale Uden of Lehi; Deann Ontiveros of St. Louis, MO; his grandmother, Elma Westwood of Joseph. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Trina; his step-father, Wilford Uden and his grandfather, Kenneth Westwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 12 Noon in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
