Bill Mcelroy

Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved husband, father and grandfather, William Michael "Bill" McElroy, age 63, died June 6, 2010 at his home in Salina. He was born November 5, 1946 in Aberdeen, Washington, to Arnold Saarela and Billie McElroy. He was adopted and raised by William Frank and Cherry Woodard McElroy. He married Kathleen Grace Smith, July 12, 1969 in Burbank, California. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Viet Nam Conflict. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for several different commercial bakeries in California. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of Salina; son, William J.”Bill” McElroy of Salina; grandsons: A.C. McElroy and Joseph McElroy, both of Salina. Private family services were held at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina. At his request, his remains have been cremated and burial will take place at a later date.
