Bill Moore 1925 - 2014 Aurora, Utah - Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, William Selmer "Bill" Moore, age 89, died August 7, 2014 in Richfield, Utah. He was born May 18, 1925 in Haskell, Oklahoma, a son of Charles Isaac and Rebecca Elizabeth Jane Bostic Moore. He served his country in the Army/Air Force, during World War II from 1943 to 1945. Bill married the love of his life, Geneva Murphy, March 6, 1947 in Whitefield, Oklahoma. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, April 26, 1969. She died February 19, 2013. Bill worked at SUFCO for almost 20 years. He built the adjustable BBQ stations for the Aurora City Park and for the KOA in Moab. He furnished firewood for the elderly and single parents in Aurora. Bill loved anything outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and being with his family. He is survived by his children: Donna L. and Les Knoefler of Aurora; Sandra K. and Rick Bretz of Salina; daughter-in-law: Annette Moore of Salina; 10 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles I. Moore; his mother, Rebecca "Lizzy" Moore; three sons, Charles E. Moore; William E. Moore, Larry R. Moore; a daughter, Carol J. Moore; two brothers and six sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 12 Noon in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Grave side service with military honors accorded by the VFW Piute Post #7561 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Mt. View Cemetery in Marysvale, Utah Saturday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. On line guest book at: www.springerturner.com
