Billie Bullard

Torrey, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Golda “Billie” Taft Bullard, age 91, of Torrey, passed away February 4, 2005 in Richfield, Utah from age related causes. She was born March 26, 1913 in Teasdale, Utah, a daughter of Seth Lyman and Nancy Angeline Coleman Taft. She spent most of her childhood in Yakima Valley, Washington. Billie married David Levi Bullard, February 20, 1930 in Torrey, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple July 9, 1940. She and Levi lived all of their married lives in Wayne County. Levi died December 17, 1980. Billie later married Clinton John Chidester, December 7, 1991 in Bicknell, Utah. They had lived in Richfield until Clint died March 31, 1997. She then moved back to Torrey. Billie was an active member of the LDS Church and held various positions. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was a thoughtful and caring person. She was loved by all who knew her. Billie always had a beautiful flower garden. She took fresh flowers to friends and relatives for any occasion. She loved to fish and went fishing every chance she had. Billie is survived by her children: Jennie Curtis of Torrey; John and Jane Bullard of Sigurd; Cora Mae Taylor of Fremont; daughter-in-law: Darlene B. and Chad Snedeger of Sigurd; 6 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Stella Summa, Yakima, WA; Bessie VanBevers, Tacoma, WA; Margaret and Chet Johnson, Merit, FL. She was preceded in death by a son, Francis Levi Bullard; sons-in-law: DeLoyd Curtis and Hyrum Taylor; brothers: Seth Taft and Roderick Taft; sisters: Lily Ruth Taft, Ruby White, Fern Berry, Mae Jacob, Jennie Taft and Helen Taft. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Torrey, Wednesday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Teasdale Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
