Bob Allen

Sandy/Lyman, Utah - Our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Robert David “Bob” Allen, age 54, died February 10, 2009 at his home in Sandy, Utah. He was born May 16, 1954 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Eugene and Shirley Joy Brown Allen. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1972. He received his bachelors degree from SUU in Cedar City. Bob enjoyed hunting, gardening and the outdoors. He enjoyed people, both working with and serving them. His greatest love and accomplishment was working at Gus Poulos Chevrolet in Salt Lake City. He had been employed there since 1981. He was very dedicated, being Fleet Manager and then promoted to Sales Manager. He was constantly surrounded by and making new friends. Anyone who ever bought a vehicle from Bob, became a friend. Bob was admired by all who met him and he will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by his father, Eugene Allen of Lyman; sisters and brother: Carol Jean Meinhardt of Delta; Colleen Brinkerhoff of Bicknell; Randall Eugene Allen of Central Valley; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Allen. Grave side services will be held Monday, February 16, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in the Lyman Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
