Bob Stanton

Salina, Utah - Robert Paul Stanton, age 67, of Salina, died March 3, 2009 in Provo, Utah. He was born March 12, 1941 in Stamford, New York, a son of Henry and Agnes Bradenburg Stanton. He graduated from Delaware Academy in Delhi, New York, Class of 1958. He served in the US Army for three years in Germany. Bob married Donna Rae Seward, July 31, 1962 in Equinuck, Pennsylvania. He drove truck for Petrolane, Barney’s and for his buddy, Scott Robinson. Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the Utah mountains, especially panning for gold on Kimberly. Bob was a cowboy at heart. His C.B. handle was Tumbleweed, which described him on the Utah Plains. He was a huge NASCAR fan. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Donna, of Salina; his children: Mike Mason of Sydney, New York; William D. "Bill" Stanton of Provo; Kristina M. Gibb of Salt Lake City; Robert P. Stanton JR. of Salina; daughter-in-law: Mary J. Stanton of West JOrdan; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brother and sisters: T.J. and Margie Stanton of Jefferson, New York; Sharon Harrison and Patricia Ward, both of Delhi, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Serena Marie Stanton. There will be an open house for friends and family at the family home, 260 North 100 East in Salina, on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 2 to 5 P.M. where you can talk, reminisce and remember the good times with Bob. At his request, his remains have been cremated and burial will take place at a later date. Funeral Directors: Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
