Bobbie Hooper

November 28, 1928 — June 6, 2017

Richfield, Utah - Roberta Taylor Ogden Christensen Hooper (Bobbie), beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2017 at the age of 88 in Richfield. Bobbie was born November 28, 1928, in Fremont, Utah, one of twelve children born to Robert Allen Taylor and Myrtle Peterson Taylor. She moved with her family to Richfield, Utah, when she was 15. She graduated from Richfield High School and lived in the Richfield area for the rest of her life. Bobbie had 1 brother and 10 sisters. Nine children survived beyond early childhood: Thora, Alta, Marjorie, Rula, Betty, Shirley, Roberta, Nadine, and Allen. Bobbie married Calvin Ogden, (later divorced), in the Manti LDS Temple on November 14, 1947. Together they had 6 children: Brent, Janae, Jonny (deceased), Bryce, Lesli, and Dixie. She married Sheldon Christensen, July 3, 1985. After Shen passed away,November 23, 1993, she married Keith Hooper, June 13, 1998. Keith passed away May 12, 2010. Bobbie was a devout and devoted member of the LDS church. She spent her life serving her church and other people. After She lost Keith, she, and her little helper, Cara Schmitt, visited with the sick, infirm, and lonesome in the area rest homes and hospices, bringing light into their lives. She loved to work in the temple. She and Keith completed an LDS mission to Fresno, California from May, 1980 to May, 1981. Bobbie was famous for her little "scrubbies" that she made in huge quantities so she could hand them out to friends and family. She made sure everyone left with a little baggie of them after a visit with her. She made the best pulled-taffy candy on the planet every year and handed it out on Christmas. Bobbie was a truly exceptional woman, one in a million. Everyone she ever met loved her! She will be sorely missed on this earth but greeted with joyous celebration by those who preceded her to the next life. She is survived by her children: Brent C. and Kathleen Ogden of Grand Junction, Colorado; Janae and Jefferson Bell of Payson; Bryce A. and Audrey Ogden of St. George; Lesli and Greg Hughes of West Jordan; Dixie and Don Harris of Forney, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister: Betty Anderson of Kearns and a sister-in-law: Louise Taylor of West Valley City. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.in the Richfield 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 10 South 200 East in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel, Monday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Annabella City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. On line guests book at:
