Monroe, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Bonnie Rae Lowry, age 80, of Monroe, died March 23, 2012 in Richfield. She was born December 17, 1931 in Eureka, Utah, a daughter of Noble Ray and Hana Elizabeth Keenan Holman. She graduated from Enterprise High School in 1949 and attended Compton College for one year. She married Gene Howell Lowry October 27, 1950 in Compton. He died in 1975. Bonnie was an active member of the LDS Church living in the Monroe 5th Ward. She served in the Relief Society and she really enjoyed working with the young people in their youth programs. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting and doing just about any craft. She is survived by her children: Bruce and Annette Lowry of Ridgecrest, California; Denise and Jim Slater of Bellflower, California; Randy and Phyliss Lowry of Saltillo, Mississippi; Ray Lowry of Tustin, California; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; three sisters: Joan and Darrell Bryce of Monroe; Sharon Holman of Central Valley and Geri Sambrano of Hemet, California. Grave side services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 3888 South Workman Mill Road in Whittier, California. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6 to 7 P.M. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Monroe 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 140 South Main Street, where friends may visit with the family one half hour prior to the services.
