Boyd Cannon Morrill

Marysvale, Utah - Boyd Cannon Morrill, died September 7, 2007 at his home in Marysvale after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born May 12, 1939 in Kingston, Utah, a son of Waldo Llewllyn and Inez Cannon Morrill. The family moved to Salt Lake City about seven years later. Boyd had two brothers, ElRay and Byron and one sister, Dorothy Blair. Boyd married Elaine Whitner in January of 1956 in Salt Lake City. They had six children: Cindy (Deceased); Gerald, David, Ricky, Gay and Troy. Boyd and Elaine were divorced in 1980. Boyd went to work at Hatfield Wire and Cable and there he met the love of his life, Shirley Ann Read Wyatt. They were married the next year on April 17, 1981 and spent 26 years together. Shirley had three children, Morgan, Dalene and Carley. Boyd help her raise her two girls, that he loved very much. He played a very big part in their lives, as well as in the lives of their 7 grandchildren: Robby Wyatt, Khristal, Dehvon, Zaine Curtis, Taurra, Marinda and Zachary Suneagle. He loved each and every one of them in a special way. Boyd loved camping and fishing with his grandkids, but most of all he loved to farm. After he retired, Boyd and Shirley moved back “Home” and bought a place in Marysvale, where they have lived the past 7 years. He is survived by his wife of Marysvale; his children: Gerald and Trina Morrill; David and Kerry Morrill; Ricky and Stephnie Morrill; Gay Morrill and Troy Morrill; his step-children: Morgan Wyatt; Dalene Curtis and Carley Wright; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sister: ElRay Morrill, Byron Morrill and Dot Blair. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the Marysvale LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Kingston Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
