Monroe, Utah - Boyd L Miller, age 75 of Monroe, peacefully passed away November 8, 2024, in Richfield Utah. He was born March 26, 1949 in Panguitch, Utah to Allen Francis and Lena Norton Miller. He married Denise Louise Williams; they later divorced. Jan 2, 1995. He married his sweetheart Clare Marie Fjeldsted Stapley and spent many happy years with her.
Boyd grew up in Panguitch as the youngest of five alongside many nephews and nieces whom he loved throughout his life. Dad gained a love of agriculture from his dad which led him to a lifetime career for the United States department of agriculture working as a soil conservationist.
Dad started his family in Panguitch and later moved to Emery County for a short time before settling in Monroe for the last 40 years.
Dad’s love of Agriculture was shared with his children. He started a flock of show sheep when Bob and Nicole were in High School. From these Ewes many stock shows have been won throughout Utah. Josh still has genetics from these first ewes and continues the traditions to this day.
When Dad and Clare Marie married, dad gained four more children whom he loved very much. Together Dad and Clare Marie supported each other's childrens and grandchildren.
Dad is survived by his wife of 28 years, his children Robert Boyd (AnnMarie) Miller, Nicole (Ryan) Frei, Emily Ann Jones, Joshua Lee (Krissy) Miller, Katelyn Marie (Tyler) Julander and step children Garth Stapley, Richelle (Mike) Smith, Gayle (Corry) Bills, Clay (Ally) Stapley
He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Gaitha Lyon, Marilyn Veater, Dwight Miller, and Kent Miller. As well as, his in-laws Marvin and Beatrice Fjeldsted.
There will be a public viewing for friends and family on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield.
Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
