Boyd Nielson

Salina, Utah - William Boyd Nielson, age 76, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at his home in Salina. He was born March 30, 1928 in Elsinore, Utah, a son of Walter O. and Erma Eldora Salisbury Nielson. He married Shirley Kiesel, May 24, 1948 in Salina, Utah. She died January 26, 1997. He is survived by two grandsons: Lonny and Heidi Hardwick of Frankfort, Kansas; Cody Howard of Salina; three great-grandchildren: Kyla, Austin and Joey Hardwick, all of Frankfort, Kansas; three brothers: Dick and Mary Nielson of Loa; Hal and Linda Nielson of Victorville, California; Phil and Renee Nielson of Richfield, Utah. He was preceded in death by his two children: Susan Kaye Hardwick and Michael Boyd Nielson and 1 brother, Robert “Bob” W. Nielson. Grave side services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 12 Noon in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
