Brenda E Moosman

Richfield – Our kind and beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend, Brenda Elaine Moosman, passed away at her home in Richfield, just one day after her 80th birthday on July 18, 2021. Brenda was born on July 17, 1941, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, a daughter of Thurman and Frances Georgia Shell Turney. She grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico where she graduated high school with the class of 1959. She married her sweetheart, Charles W. Moosman, on March 8, 1960. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on June 6, 2003. Charles passed away on September 16, 2005. Brenda lived in Monterey, California and Portsmouth, Virginia, but eventually settled down with Charles in Richfield. She enjoyed quilting and cooking. Her family has fond memories of many delicious home-cooked meals that she prepared for them. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs, of which she had many throughout her lifetime. Brenda was known for being helpful, giving, and hardworking, but her best quality was empathy. Her kindness and compassion truly knew no limits, especially when it came to her family. They were her first priority and her life’s work. She was a devoted wife and mother and was always there for them and ready to offer love and support. They love her very much and will miss her. Brenda is survived by her daughters: Patty Avila of Monterey, California; Laurie Gabbert of Las Vegas, Nevada; her father: Gordon Coleman of Monroe; brothers: Chris Cole of Moorpark, California; Scott Coleman of Monroe; her grandchildren: Samantha Moosman of Richfield, Christopher Moosman, Alexis Avila, and Angelica Avila, all of Monterey, California. 1 great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her mother Frances Coleman; a brother, Lynn Coleman; and a son, Gary Moosman. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. or Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
